Jim and Nena's Pizzeria is a local Pennsylvania chain that offers a selection of Italian favorites. In addition to subs, its menu includes pizza, pasta, stromboli, and more. Jim and Nena's Pizzeria has two locations in the York area, and both offer online ordering for carryout and delivery. The first is at 501 W. Philadelphia St., and it's open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. The West York Jim and Nena's Pizzeria location is located (redundant) at 2755 W. Market St., and it's open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Lattuca's Sub Bar

Lattuca's Sub Bar serves a wide selection of hot and cold subs. If you're looking for something other than a sub, it also has stromboli, pizza, wraps, and salads. Its cold subs include a range of classics with cold cuts, and you can request to bake your sub at no additional charge. The selection of hot subs includes multiple cheesesteak options and Italian-inspired flavors. Consider trying Vinnie's favorite steak sub, which is a hot sub with chopped steak topped with American cheese, sauce, mushrooms, fried onions, lettuce, tomato, and green peppers.

Lattuca's Sub Bar is at 1601 W. Market St. It's open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. It also offers online ordering for takeout and delivery.

The SteakOut

The SteakOut specializes in authentic Philly cheesesteaks. Voted Best Cheesesteak by the York Daily Record and the York Sunday News in 2019, 2020, and 2021, this restaurant offers a selection of ribeye and chicken cheesesteaks. If you're looking for a unique cheesesteak, consider its steak surf and turf cheesesteak or Buffalo chicken cheesesteak. The SteakOut has two locations in York, and both offer online ordering for takeout and delivery. Its East York location is at 2813 E. Prospect Road, and it's open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. The West York location is at 1277 W. Market St., and it's also open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The SteakOut also has an express location about half an hour from York in Lancaster. It's at 43 W. King St., and it offers a limited menu of ribeye and chicken cheesesteak options. It's open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m., and Saturday from noon to 3 a.m.

Hefty Lefty's Hoagies and Grinders

Hefty Lefty's Hoagies and Grinders serves overstuffed hoagies and grinders on fresh-baked Italian rolls. It serves hoagies cold with fresh meats and veggies, and it toasts its grinders to serve them with melted cheese. It also serves cheesesteaks and fresh-cut curly fries.

The restaurant often has seasonal specials, and it has a selection of popular subs to try. One of its popular grinders is the Big Earl's beef 'n' cheese grinder, which features medium-rare roast beef topped with sauteed onions, house-made horsey sauce, and melted cheddar jack cheese. Marisal's Pizza Shop offers a selection of pizza, salads, wings, stromboli, calzones, wraps, sandwiches, gyros, quesadillas, and subs. It also includes an entire keto-friendly menu, complete with calzones, stromboli, sandwiches, and desserts. For subs, it offers cheesesteaks, hoagies, and grinders.

Marisal's Pizza Shop has a standard cheesesteak, and it also offers a build your own cheesesteak. Choose from a selection of hoagies with cold cuts, such as the American hoagie. This sandwich includes ham, salami, and American cheese topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, and mayo. If you're interested in something unique, try the buffalo chicken tender hoagie. This sub includes chicken tenders tossed in hot sauce, topped with oregano, onion, lettuce, tomato, and blue cheese.
